My Story
I kicked off my professional journey by purposefully laying the groundwork for my transition into event management. This included accepting a position as a Box Office Assistant at Live Nation’s Hollywood Casino Amphitheater while completing a dual internship with non-profit radio station, KDHX (Music Department and Broadcast Production).
Shortly thereafter, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications from Webster University in St. Louis, MO (minors in audio production and psychology).
After joining Maritz Global Events, I was one of eight staff members from the St. Louis headquarters who relocated to San Jose, CA to support our new contract onsite at Google.

Three highlights from my time at Google include:

-
Presenting a high-level overview of Google’s new event management software alongside training materials I developed for administrative business partners and related teams. Partnering with one teammate, I was glad to showcase my ability to be a consistent team player while going the extra mile.
-
Designing internal and client-facing branding. After creating an onsite checklist that caught the attention of one of our managers, I was given the opportunity to lead formatting assignments as part of our branding project team.
-
Leading a team-wide initiative with my direct supervisor and colleagues, leading with inspiration from my psychology minor and passion for progressive inclusivity.

I also hold Event Management and Diagramming certifications through CVent and have successfully utilized a wide-range of software, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Salesforce, and Eventbrite.

Freelance Journey: While caring for personal and family matters, I have been accepting remote, contract and freelance responsibilities and temporarily relocating to my hometown of St. Louis. As of December 2024, I have been able to permanently relocate to San Jose.
Contract Role Examples:

-
Coordinating onsite at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, where I successfully planned an intimate dinner for a former Dean as well as a large-scale student competition and more.
-
Coordinating logistics and designing promotional materials for a new synth-pop musical group's premiere performance at the eclectic Noc Noc in SF.
-
Performing A/V technician duties for local community members at Palo Alto's New Community Church.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me discovering new music (especially rock or heavy metal), pushing my Google Photos storage to the limit with more nature photography, or playing video games on my Xbox One.
